I have used Unix systems (specifically, FreeBSD)
since 1998 when I stumbled across FreeBSD purely by chance, and ended up installing it and
finding it a much more fun, interesting, reliable, and powerful, than the Windows installation
it shared my computer at the time with.
In the summer of 2000 I was given a FreeBSD commit bit (login ben@FreeBSD.org)
to work on the documentation - this was a result of me sending many small PRs, but all with suitable patches
included. Unfortunately in September 2000 I started my degree and after leaving
university I went straight into a full-time job, so I have had very little time to work on FreeBSD since then.
I now work for gradwell dot com who use FreeBSD almost exclusively
on their servers. |
